Try something new and different, you will feel good when you learn and master new things.

Learning will make you more confident as well as being fun. We explore creative activities to enable you to cope with stresses of every day life and encourage positive self esteem.

Every Monday 1 – 4pm at Unit 4, Suite 2, Park Square on Laneham Street in Scunthorpe.

This is a chance to get creative using a variety of different materials, Hand sewing, card making previous projects
has seen us make bags, keyrings and we are always looking for our next challenge.

Walking for Health

Everybody is welcome to join any of the walks, which are always relaxed and friendly. There is no need to book – just turn up on the day!
All walks are FREE.

Meet at Central Park Car Park, Kingsway Scunthorpe

Date: Every Wednesday.

Start time: 11am

Length of walk: 1 – 1.5 miles

We welcome users of Wheelchairs and Walking Aids on this walk.

Walks are led and supported by trained Volunteer Walk Leaders, one with first aid equipment.

The idea of the walks is to help improve your health. You are encouraged to walk at your own pace, but at a pace, which makes your heart beat a little faster and your breathing a little quicker.

In severe weather conditions walks may be cancelled, please call 07717 586 380 before 9.30am on the day of the walk if you are in any doubt that a walk will not be taking place.

The walks included in this programme are accredited by the National Walking for Health scheme.

Music Sing – Along @ Unit 4, Suite 2

A chance to have a fun sing-along, sing Elvis, Michael Jackson, Little Mix or whatever takes your fancy, pick up an
instrument and sing to your hearts content, everyone is welcome, no skills required.

£5 fee per session.

Every Thursday from 10am – 12 noon at Unit 4, Suite 2, Park Square on Laneham Street in Scunthorpe.

Want to get creative but aren’t sure how? We’ll support you to draw and paint, making collages and mosaics, basically anything you can think of! You can take your art home and enter it into our annual calendar competition.

Every Friday from 9.30am – 12 noon at Unit 4, Suite 2, Park Square on Laneham Street in Scunthorpe.

Dance class for people with disabilities.

Class will run every Friday from 6pm – 7.30pm at the Kimberley Performing Arts Centre (which is situated on the South Leys Campus on Enderby Road in Scunthorpe).

Music and dance have provided to have many advantages to people with disabilities such as:
* An ability to express emotions
* A great stress relief
* An increased physical fitness and gross motor skills development
* Improved confidence and self-esteem
* Encourages creativity and imagination
